Knights slay Sharks to kick off pre-season

The nib Newcastle Knights turned up the heat on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, scorching their way to a triumphant 44-18 victory in their first trial match at the sweltering Industree Group Stadium this Saturday.

Battling through the blistering conditions on the Central Coast, the Knights were on fire, racking up eight tries to the Sharks’ three, and snagging the full 15 points in the Pre-Season Challenge. Talk about starting with a sizzle!

Despite trailing by 12 points early in the game, the Knights, armed with a mix of seasoned vets and fresh faces, flipped the script in dramatic fashion, showcasing their might and mettle on the field.

Next up, the Knights are jetting off to Fiji for a face-off with the Melbourne Storm in their second trial match next Saturday. If this opening clash is anything to go by, the Storm better brace themselves—Newcastle’s bringing the thunder!
