US cop Robin Conner busted for shoplifting – while in uniform

In a case of 'cops gone wild' Robin Conner, a 33-year-old officer from the Columbus Police force, was nabbed red-handed swiping a swanky pair of $140 sneakers while decked out in her full police regalia.

The audacious theft unfolded on Wednesday at a local Dick’s Sporting Goods, with Conner brazenly abusing her badge by shoplifting during her shift and going on a mini crime spree while in uniform and cruising around in her police vehicle.

The call of shame came in around 12:30 pm, leading to a scene you’d expect in a comedy sketch, not real life. The crime-fighting officer turned criminal was slapped with a misdemeanor shoplifting charge for her less-than-grand heist.

Conner, who’s been with the force for two years, got a ride to the slammer in her own cop car and was booked into the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.

With a bond set at $862, Conner’s now on the dreaded ‘administrative leave’, awaiting the outcome of an investigation that’s got local police chief Joseph Daughtry, and the community reeling.

‘It’s a gut punch’, Daughtry lamented to media.

Before her fall from grace, Conner was all about flaunting her badge on Facebook, with posts celebrating law enforcement day and even sharing safety tips and cocktail recipes, portraying the image of a dedicated officer. Now, her social media is buzzing for all the wrong reasons, with netizens mocking her misadventure and lamenting the disgrace to the badge.
