Oprah Winfrey bids farewell to WeightWatchers after a decade of slimming success

After a sizzling ten-year partnership with WeightWatchers, Queen of daytime TV Oprah Winfrey, is cutting ties but not without a promise to keep fighting the fat.

At the age of 70, Oprah, who’s been open about her weight-loss journey, is stepping down from the board but vows to continue her crusade against obesity alongside the company’s CEO.

WeightWatchers insists there’s no bad blood behind the departure, claiming it’s all amicable and unrelated to any company drama. CEO Sima Sistani, 42, gushed over Oprah’s legacy, saying the icon’s passion and inspiration will be sorely missed at board meetings. Yet Oprah isn’t disappearing entirely; she’s planning to stay on as a strategic guru, aiming to shine a light on obesity as a major health issue.

Oprah recently spilled the beans to People magazine about her secret weapon in the battle of the bulge—a mystery weight-loss medication that’s kept her looking fab and feeling great. She’s over the moon about this modern marvel, declaring an end to the days of diet shaming and self-criticism.

WeightWatchers is rolling out a new programme tailored for folks on weight-loss meds like Ozempic and Wegovy, showing they’re on the cutting edge of slimming science.
