The operation led by the West Coast’s Tactical Crime Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch resulted in the execution of four search warrants on February 8, uncovering a significant haul of MDMA valued at approximately $5,000 ready for distribution, alongside $9,000 in cash, cannabis, and stolen property.
The arrested individuals are scheduled to appear in the Greymouth District Court on March 11 facing various drug-related charges, with expectations of additional charges being laid.
The police have extended their gratitude to the West Coast communities for their support and cooperation in providing vital information. Detective Sergeant Ian McKinnon said the police’s dedication to combatting the harm caused by the distribution of controlled substances.
