Cops seek suspect after woman dragged in handbag theft at Glenfield Mall

Police are searching for a man involved in a handbag theft at Glenfield Mall in Auckland on 1 December.

Around 5 PM, the suspect grabbed a woman’s handbag, pulling her to the ground, before fleeing to his white Toyota Mark-X.

When the woman pursued him to retrieve her bag, she was dragged along 10 metres of pavement by the moving car, sustaining minor injuries.

Police have released a photo of the man, who was wearing a bucket hat and a face mask pulled below his mouth, and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying him.
