Gangster Lymon Ormsby sentenced after violent attack leaves man scarred

The assault occurred during a social gathering when Ormsby, after being asked to leave, punched Peterson and slashed his face with a sharp object, shouting “Killer Beez” – a reference to his gang affiliation.

The victim now suffers from significant psychological distress and feels uncomfortable going outside due to people staring at his scar.

The incident unfolded on May 6, 2022, when Ormsby and his associates, drinking nearby, forced their way into Peterson’s family gathering. The situation escalated after Peterson tried to eject the uninvited guests from his property, leading to the violent confrontation.

The attack left Peterson with a 10cm long cut, extending from his ear to his mouth, requiring surgery and causing permanent disfigurement.

During the trial, the jury was presented with the harrowing details of the attack and its aftermath, including Peterson’s struggle to return to normal life and his eventual decision to move towns due to fear and discomfort from his injury.

Ormsby’s defense highlighted his remorse and his steps towards rehabilitation, including dissociating from the Killa Beez gang, removing gang-related tattoos, and maintaining sobriety since 2022.
