Google Street View exposes grisly love triangle murder in Spain

A Spanish couple has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Google Street View cameras seemingly captured chilling evidence of a man loading a body wrapped in a white sheet into the trunk of his car.

The grisly discovery reignited the investigation into the disappearance of a Cuban man, identified only as JPLO, who vanished in November 2023 after reportedly visiting the tiny hamlet of Tajueco to confront his ex-partner, only to find her in a relationship with another man, 48-year-old Manuel “The Wolf” Isla Gallardo. Police later unearthed the dismembered torso of the missing man in a nearby cemetery, with searches ongoing for additional body parts.

Locals described “The Wolf” as distracted and troubled after recently losing his job, while a villager recalled seeing the victim, a “very large man,” in the area prior to his disappearance. Google Street View images, which had not been updated in Tajueco for 15 years, provided crucial evidence: one frame showed a man pushing a bundle in a wheelbarrow, and another depicted him loading it into his maroon Rover. Within weeks of the images going live, police arrested the couple, who now face charges of murder, kidnapping, and failure to report a missing person. Investigators are working to piece together the timeline of the murder and uncover the exact relationship between the victim and the suspects.
