Around 9:30 p.m., police noticed the bike racing along Dairy Flat Rd and attempted to follow for a traffic stop.
The rider sped out of sight, but moments later, officers were alerted to a crash on nearby Wilks Road.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but sadly, the rider could not be saved.
Police are now investigating the events that led up to the fatal accident.
