Mystery end for 58-year-old West Auckland man

The Massey community in West Auckland has been rocked as authorities piece together the events that led to the untimely demise of a 59-year-old man last night in a property on Don Buck Road.

Police were called to a Massey residence at 9.20pm, where they found a man unresponsive and with serious injuries. The man died despite medical intervention and attempts to revive him.

A 40-year-old man present at the scene was apprehended by police. He now faces charges of common assault and was scheduled to make an appearance in the Waitākere District Court today.
