Pizza delivery dispute escalates to stabbing of pregnant woman in Florida

A pizza delivery dispute in Kissimmee, Florida, turned violent when Brianna Alvelo allegedly forced her way into a motel room with an accomplice and stabbed a pregnant woman.

The incident began after Alvelo delivered a pizza to the woman, who paid $50 on a $33.10 bill and requested change.

When Alvelo claimed company policy prohibited making change, the woman searched for smaller bills and ultimately tipped $2. Alvelo reportedly left the room, rolling her eyes without comment, according to an arrest report.

Later that night, Alvelo and a masked, armed accomplice allegedly returned, pushed into the motel room, and attacked the woman while her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter were present.

The man confined the boyfriend in the bathroom while Alvelo rummaged through the room before stabbing the woman 14 times as she shielded her daughter. The woman, who had recently discovered she was pregnant, underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured lung. Alvelo faces charges including attempted murder, home invasion, and kidnapping, while authorities continue searching for her accomplice.

Alvelo has requested a public defender ahead of her court appearance.
