Heavyweight glory for Joseph Parker – Interim WBO title

In a sensational showdown in Saudi Arabia, Joseph Parker clawed his way back to heavyweight glory, edging out the powerhouse Zhilei Zhang for the WBO interim world heavyweight crown.

Parker’s gritty victory inches him closer to the ultimate prize in boxing, but there’s a twist – he’s got to do it all over again, thanks to Zhang’s rematch clause.

The 40-year-old Chinese titan, who strutted into the ring as the reigning champ, isn’t going down without a fight, promising a blockbuster sequel to their epic brawl.

Parker, in a true display of heart and hustle, weathered the storm against Zhang, bouncing back from knockdowns in the third and eighth rounds with the resilience of a champ.

While Zhang packed a punch, Parker dazzled with his agility and strategic strikes, outmaneuvering the knockout king and swaying two of the three judges to declare him the winner. This wasn’t just a win; it was Parker’s statement that he’s not stepping out of the ring anytime soon.

In the main card, Anthony Joshua, the knockout king, stole the spotlight in a jaw-dropping clash against the beast from the UFC, Francis Ngannou.

Joshua, in a display of raw power and fury, sent Ngannou crashing to the mat not once, but twice, before sealing the deal with a thunderous right hand.

As the heavyweight division braces for the ultimate showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksander Usyk, Parker and Joshua are lurking in the shadows, ready to take the heavyweight throne.
