The location and date of the video is unknown, but it was recently shared on Twitter (X) by @1000waystod1e where it had received nearly 10 million views at the time of this article’s writing.
‘Who’s at fault here?’ asked the uploader.
The short 9 second clip, which has since been taken down from social media, shows the motorbike entering a tight corner on a left-hand drive road at speed. Two sports cars in Indian file are travelling in the opposite direction, and there is no suggestion from the footage that their speed was excessive.
Despite this, the rider has given himself no room for error and he is unable to avoid crashing into the first of the cars. The impact sends him catapulting through the air, where he is thrown onto the road about 10 metres down the road. Another car travelling in the same direction clips the motorbike and miraculously comes to a sudden stop, sparing the rider further injury.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and the condition of the rider at this stage is not known.
