His manager Greg Weiss confirmed the news in a statement published in The Times on Sunday today.
‘At this point all I can do is confirm, yes, unfortunately my client of over 11 years has passed,’ he said.
The time and cause of death have not been disclosed, and at the request of Nanda’s family and girlfriend, no other details were being released, said Weiss. The cause of death has been the subject of intense discussion on social media.
Tributes poured in for the former star, whose credits included an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.

They’re reporting Neel Nanda has left us, possibly by his own hand. He was kind and generous to me, and every time I saw him, he was having fun. I never would have known he was feeling this way. I wish he was still here. #neelnanda pic.twitter.com/DSU7R3HQoy
